Definition of Real Estate |
I have to admit, Google is an interesting thing. I may be abusing the definition feature though, as i googled the definition of real estate, and found the expected definitions, land owned...any items on that land, identified parcel of land, but then i came across this definition: "A portion of the earth's surface extending downward to the center to the earth and upward into space..." Now then, my question to you is, if a plane constantly flies over your house, isn't that trespassing? You decide! |

Appraisals |
I took the liberty today to Google the definition of appraisals, this is what i found: "Appraisal is the act of estimating the monetary value of real property, personal property, or intangible property, usually performed as a service by someone recognized as an expert or certified by an organization or government agency." Your home, property, apartment, lot or what have you is worth something, not just to you, but to the next guy who just happens to be interested in what you own. For whatever reasons he is interested, you need to be able to offer a valuation of your assets. Noone likes to be sold short of the true value of any possesion. This is why an appraisal is going to be an added benefit to you when you are ready to receive a bid on your land. Appraisals serve to benefit you when applying for a mortgage, refinancing or selling your properties. Banks deem it a necessity, and lets just say you could call it headache prevention insurance. Hope that helps. |

Invest In Real Estate! |

INVEST IN REAL ESTATE! Paul Ritchie says: “If I had known at sixteen what I know now, I would have invested in land here in Nassau, from the time I came here to work. Cindy and I really started our Real Estate education when we entered the Real Estate Market as Real Estate and Rental Agents!” Paul Ritchie moved to Nassau from Long Island in ’63, starting out as a packing boy with City Market, making four pounds ten a week, plus tips. In 1978, he made his first Real Estate sale, when he sold his neighbor’s house to a friend. In the spring of ’79, Paul and his wife, Cindy, started to work full time in Real Estate Brokerage under the name RITCHIE REALTORS. Mr. Ritchie offered this insight: “In hindsight, we should not have been so hurry to sell off most of the land that we bought in Nassau over the years, as appreciation of land values has been tremendous over the last thirty years, increasing anywhere from fifteen times to a hundred times. We could have been in retirement, but that’s just the way it is. Everyone who bought land from us or through our Agency got a good deal” He added: “Nowadays, you should also look outside of Nassau to the Family Islands where land investment opportunities are increasingly available. That doesn’t mean that you have to leave Nassau out of your search, because land investment opportunities are still here – you just have to look harder.” Paul Ritchie invites you to get in touch with him about land investment opportunities here in Nassau and the other Islands of The Bahamas.
